Surprisingly Powerful World And Influence In LinkedIn

LinkedIn now has 810 million members with over 57 million registered companies. Data from LinkedIn shows that it has already 810 million members as of the writing of this article. I have less than 4K followers but I have taken advantage of a lot of opportunities with this small number of connections.  You can too. You may have already created an account in LinkedIn, but are you leveraging the many advantages you already have in this platform. I used LinkedIn first to ensure I am out there. I used it to build a network of knowledgeable people whom I can count on to give me insights from their industry and from their many years of experience. It is the platform where I can talk about the things I have done and the things I am still doing. And a lot of my adventures in business and development are found in LinkedIn. Hello I'm Virgilio Paralisan. My friends call me Toy!

I have done a lot of consulting work across many industries. You can see a lot of my work through the years through my LinkedIn Profile. My first opportunity in leadership roles was when I assumed marketing and sales responsibilities for an IT reseller. For three decades since then, I have taken on strategic management, project management, and operations management responsibilities. Overall, I can categorize my experience into strategic management, operations management, and quality management. All of them in leadership roles or in a consultant capacity. 

A considerable portion of my work is writing. When LinkedIn started inviting select members to write, I was one of those who responded. LinkedIn was the first platform I published written work outside my own blog. I've written a few articles and started a newsletter in LinkedIn. 

A big part of my work is writing. You can browse many of my work in Contently if you want to get to know my published work. I have been writing for many platforms since 2006. But I have written more while leading teams even before that. I have been writing business and strategic plans since as long as I remember as a manager leading teams. Sales letters, fax campaigns, concept papers, quality management documents, feasibility studies, and position papers. In my first management job as a marketing manager, I have written letters in response to more than 3000 letters of complaint after Microsoft 95 was launched in October 1995. Most of it in response to issues related to the installation of Windows 95.

From 2022 to date, I have written no less than a million words for a single client alone for a legal blog. Writing no less than 5000 words a day for 5 days a week. This is not counting business plans and strategic plans I prepare for clients that runs to no less than 70,000 words per client. I also prepare quality management documentation under ISO 9000 series which when compiled has a minimum of 100 thousand words per original copy.
